Can I install loc sprinkles on starter locs?

• Yes and No. You can install loc sprinkles as long as your locs are strong enough to hold the thread securely. But personally I usually recommend being at least 1 year loc’d to not interfere with the budding process.

How long do loc sprinkles last?

• Depending on your loc care routine, loc sprinkles can last weeks to months before needing to be replaced or adjusted.

*For any medal beads I recommend switching those out every couple weeks.

Will loc sprinkles affect my retwist or maintenance routine?

• If you retwist NO, not all all! If you interlock like me, you would just need to remove your sprinkles before doing so. Pro Tip: I try to plan my sets around my interlocking treatments every few months.

Can I wash my hair with loc sprinkles?

• Yes! Loc sprinkles are water-resistant and designed to stay secure even during washes. Just be mindful when scrubbing your scalp and avoid excessive tugging.

Do I need a specific loc thickness for loc sprinkles to work?

• No!! loc sprinkles can be installed on locs of all sizes. However, if your locs are very small, you may want to use smaller beads or fewer beads per placement for a balanced look.

How do I remove loc sprinkles without damaging my locs?

• Simply locate the visible thread in your loc, and carefully snip the thread. From there you can slide the beads off!

Will loc sprinkles damage my hair?

• No! When installed correctly, loc sprinkles are a non-damaging way to decorate your locs. While Damage is rare if damage does occur it is most likely due to sprinkles being placed too tightly to the loc. Or if medal beads are not replaced often.
